BIM/CAD Technician

Full-Time Position in Pittsburgh, PA and/or Bozeman, MT

Similarly most facade design engineers have a very limited knowledge of primary building structures. Our unique expertise in both areas and the interaction between them allows us to provide a higher level of service regardless of which portion of the building we are designing.

Qualifying Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Tekla, and/or SDS/2
• Experience working in a BIM environment
• Knowledge and proficiency in facade systems (curtain wall, storefront, composite panels, etc.)
• Relevant experience with structural detailing and drafting
• Familiarity with shop and fabrication level drawings
• Ability to thoroughly understand and interpret Architectural Drawings and Specifications
• Clear written and verbal skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare models and drawing for various components of the building envelope including curtain wall, storefront, windows, composite panels, glass railings, and other miscellaneous items
• Prepare models representing structural systems designed by AE Dynamics
• Help to develop and maintain company libraries and standards
• Manage multiple projects at any given time
• Coordinate with both Engineering and Drafting staff
