Project Description
St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral has quite a diverse history since construction began in 1928. It was originally dedicated as a Cathedral and acted as an anti-aircraft training facility for a brief time in the 1940’s. Sitting atop Capitol Hill, this project consisted primarily of the replacement of tall, Gothic arched windows. The horizontal support system for the windows was built out of curtain wall. Because of the long span of the horizontal supports, the curtain wall needed to be heavily reinforced, and custom jamb anchors were designed to provide field adjustment.
